I'm Fine with the skimming it all. It was just the patching really. The gap in depth is just right for some plasterboard if it can be attached. Seemed alot easier to board it than bonding it all.

Cheers nisus if you use the contract paint is it ok to then go over that with emulshion whilst still not fully dry or does that defeat the object of the contract paint?

Bit of advice on skimming. I'm just learning and more of a DIY with it really but how do you make a neat external corner?
Obviously got beads on the corners and I notice Pro's usually leave the tip of the metal showing through when they have finished a wall... Mine look messy...
I was using a small bag mixed in a 10 ltr bucket size. Can't remember the mix off the top of my head but mixed to the quantity stated on the bag to mix the whole bag. Got me board up just 8x4, but the bit left had gone off in the bucket. Same with the next mix.
I don't dare mix bigger...
Hmm sounds like best sticking with the dry wall then!
As a newbie to this Iv been having a problem with the dry wall going off fast in the bucket?? About 10-15 mins, any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Anyone used this foam adhesive much for fixing plasterboard on block Walls ect.
Usually comes in tube and conected to an applicator gun. Pink grip do 1 as do insta stik. The latter actualy does one now where u don't need the gun.
So does anyone use this instead of mixing up the dry wall...
