Bad plastering and plasterer refusing to fix it or even come look

I ask as I.d just rather not do it lol. But if they said they dont know it be done
Came unstuck with that once. Asked customer if it was being tiled and he said yes.

Left sockets all ragged.

How does that get tidied up asked customer.

With tiles says I.

But it's only one course of 150mm glass tiles says customer.

I'll go and get filler says I.

To be fair I completely agree with @lurpak . I’ve seen this a few times. Been over someone else’s work once and it was horrible. Ripping beads out, hacking at crap.

And I’ve been the person who got ridiculously undercut on a kitchen extension, told they didn’t understand my price blah blah and then sent me these pictures and asked if I’d come back . I politely didn’t but I did give them credit for their balls to call and apologise.

I still feel bad for our librarian. It’s not fair to do that to anyone’s house. You definitely shouldn’t let this bloke intimidate you or pay for that work.

I found it funny nobody mentioned that some of them areas where impossible to get a good finish behind them. Everyone jumps in on a s**t job thread . That's s**t am great. It's a s**t job question was answered after the first post. Now its 3 pages long
I don’t know why people try. I’d never try to get behind a boiler.... madness lol

I go and see ALL customers on the day they call me and I get almost every job.

Most times it seems they don't even look for another quote so it must create a favourable impression.
I get that a lot, priced a job last Sunday and the customer was all "thanks for turning up, and on a Sunday". Said it was pretty much the only day of the week which was her own. She said she only got me an another guy to come out and price.

It was originally 2 days and then went over. I realise the price is cheap now, but didn’t know this going into it. I’m learning
With next to no area in it and two windows and doors, its hard to see how he could over run. In saying that the guys no plasterer anyway.
You've got a relative who's a retired plasterer surely he could be persuaded to tart up the bits that will be exposed after the kitchen is fitted and tiled.

sounds desperate.
No it's common sense. The customer is thinking about the job TODAY.

So I come and offer the solution TODAY.

And that's it. In the customer's mind, it's all sorted out and the job's all but done. No need to ring anyone else.

The alternative is getting one job in three and desperately peddling crappy tape anywhere you think plasterers might hang out.

I don't live in a city. I live in a small town and work locally.

Ireland is mercifully free from traffic so my beaten zone is only about ten minutes radius and I don't have children.

And I'd rather knock off half an hour early from one job to get another than out it off to another day.

If like you, I had probation officers to see and social services contact centres to attend, then I might put it off but I don't.

It looked awkward as f**k tbh which is the first sign the bloke who took the job isn't a decent plasterer as any decent one would of said I need all the electrics disconnecting and taped up.

Having said that I tend to finish with a trowel not a brush lol. It's a s**t job but a spot on job wasn't possible with all those electrics on
