One coat wonder

Nowim on my own i mix a bag and tip it on the board then whip a 2nd up ready slightly wetter ready for when ive spread the 1st. On domestics its often not massive areas but tricky awkward stuff with beams or under stairs etc but then carry on mixing a bag at a time tipping one and leaving a second ready in a bucket to tip. Where i have an area to go at ive suprised myself doing easy 4 to 6bags a gauge without problems doing all my own mixing and cleaning and i dont like mess or leaving buckets not washed out etc either

I just coat there area I have decided to do, after it has all been coated once, I clean out and mix an amount sufficient to cover again all fresh and lovely.
I usually manage to cover on the 2nd coat with half the amount the 1st coat took.
Unless it is a smallish area, and I need to get on....then I move to the dark side.

On site as in sand cement, board. Two coats same mix. Domestic Reskims always two coat.
This is a pic of on site two coat same mix, ceilings bonded. FB_IMG_1482694652232.jpg

Let's put this to bed, plenty of plasterers can 1 coat to a high standard as I often do, but sometimes have to 2 coat due to suction as I often do, but no right or wrong way, end product is what counts, hate this right or wrong craic, it doesn't be talked about as much in every other trade.

All the best Bobby @ Oli a couple of dents gents I've met over the last couple of years [emoji482]

What about when they have moved in and curtains are up? In morning if lift the curtains away from the wall the sunlight shows ripples

90 houses later and what are you on about....ive about 30 there left to do.
Not 1 customer complaint.
Maybe you should buy 1 open and close the curtains and find out for yourself.

Are you a peeping tom ??

Don't know why you lot gotta a problem with doing proper job,tbh I can except onecoat can look ok I done it myself but all the sponge thing as well is truly curtains for me :endesacuerdo:

Anyways most of my jobs are proper skimming over old shite not easy board skimming,

Try looking near the doors as well when open front and back doors always ripples there too.:hola:
