i think same strength is ok. just not stronger. you do a 1:1 though so its not hard to get it wrong :p

3-1 sand and cement on outsides, that is cowboy stuff mate, steve is spot on, the top coat should not be a stronger mix than the scratch coat. 3-1, i cant believe that. :'( :'( :'(

kirk three coat rendering ? two s bad enough :) or are you putting a wet one as your third to save on filling in
 
when i did apprenticeship we always done 3 coats, its top job flat as a witches tit,lol
 
thank the lord for OCR i say. id be intrested in your machine if my missus ain't took my cash to put toward a house deposit to make it easier still :)
