Rising damp

I'm not going to lie im a fan of the pam membrane but never said it completely blocks damp as its there to act as a barrier then I for and dab over it and skim.
Damp can be caused through the fundamentals of building a house through footings . Mortar when they lay bricks bad mixes .. blocking air vents causing condensation a lot of factors.
But will always check most situations before I apply it and never had a problem or call back.
A lot of of the specialist damp companies don't even care that's the truth and they aren't knowledgeable enough to no if a house has lime render internal it's there for a purpose of letting it breeve.

Not damp but mould. When people ask about black mould it pains me that they don't seem to understand that I can get rid but if they have a shower and don't open window it will come back . I have my Windows on air catch 99% of year

Nothing works unless the damp is cured first of course.
Im a fan of membrane simply because people dont want bare brickwork drying out for weeks in their home, and I've never successfully got rid of efflorescence.
Sweating isn't a problem as we take the skirt off and run the membrane behind the floorboards into the cellar. The area can still dry out that way.
