Took some doing to be honest. I was a site man but I f**k**g hated it in the end. So I saw a niche and fancied doing it full time. A lime plasterer was looking for a lift so I jumped in with him. Did a lot of begging and trying to prove myself kept looking at the listed building consent on the local authorities planning dept. Then I’d drop a card in if they needed any lime work. Now it finds me I’ve dropped lucky with the timing. We’re in with conservation architects which helps now. To be honest it’s not a massive leap for any plasterer that can float it’s all just rubbed up render to be fair.
