me and my pal have bought a utiform quattro need a generator up to 15kva live in newcastle anyone recommend a supplier

Harrington generators do a 20kva about the same size as the pft ones for £2600 plus vat. SJL Power do a 12.5kva for £1250 inc vat and del :)

So what's the thoughts on this sjl power genny its a cracking price I no the pft ones are made for machines. But surley it will come with a warrenty if it does go bang and I can't really afford the pft one either so rich buy it and let me no .lol

it uses the same engine and alternator as in the more expensive pramac ones though costing 4-5k. its just stripped down to the bare bolts that's all. no qualms with honda engines and meccalte alternators boys. the only question is output being suitable not quality/reliability ;)

me and rich have spoken to them, a guy called Jonathan, very knowledgeable and polite chap. we did ask if he could put together a stronger generator than the 12.5kva(£1250inc vat&del) but this bumps the price up to £3180(16kva). Still a good price but a big stepup for an extra 3.5 kva's. The best generator available for the money is the Harrington 20kva at £2600 plus vat and yes, this was developed especially for a plastering machine by the request of Danny mcgirr of putzmeister(only 186kg too which is bizarre for 20kva's!) :)

worth a try mate......could have a few sales on their hands if it was successfully tried with a monojet and g5 size machines to lay this to rest once and for all

Goody, I have an idea, you buy one mate, test it and let me and monkey know if its ok so we casn approach the company for sole rights to sell. ;D ;D ;D ;D

There must be 4 - 5 guys on here looking for a genny surley they would allow us to take the machine down to test where are they based

many a true word spoken in jest ey simples you monopolising business man you lol ;D

you'd do well to look at the harrington one too mate pm me your email address and i'll send a pic over ;)

sjl are based in dunstable near luton airport.

harrington are in wirksworth in derbyshire

Spoke to them this morning they reckon it won't power the m-tech or g4 g5 bit of a buger looks like I'm going to have to spend some dough

I spoke to them today PWI and he seems to think it will power thePFT machines he's going to give us a genny for a trial so as simps said we'll keep you posted

Good man I'm sure he said he phoned m-tech and they said it would need to be a 15kva but let me no anyway you no better than me lol

That's good to no I just don't want to spend to much on a genny until I no I've loads of work for it ,when you geting it stu

hope your not gonna check it out......secure a monopoly......slap a grand on the price and kill the whole thing :'( Would have thought a cost effective genny to go along with your machines would only secure more sales as opposed to getting greedy and selling less of both!! pure speculation though honest lol :D

You meeting the guy to talk business?? sounds ominous....sorry epxpensive(cough) s**t sorry great :)

met the guy today he's arranging for us to have a genny next week he seems to offer a very good back up service , we'll keep you posted on how it performs

put a link to the harrington you mean tech man? if so the website doesn't have the details up there cos it's a specialist application machine.....but I do have a good pic of it except it's too big to fit on here, pm and ill send a pic across. you can't be les lord otherwise you'd know i aint blones ;) maybe your the blones ??? ;) hows the scaffold going?

it could be the army geni if so it will do the job but it wont pass the noise level test unless it stays in in your van and then the wall of the van act as a sound block.. But some times they wont let you have the van on site then you will have problems
