get yerself a midget trowel mate, theyre about 8"x2" anything that wont do you can use a 1" scraper....end of the day its a lot easier to take off the architrave if they want it perfect, you have to explain why to em tho and if they start givin you the old 'well are you a plasterer or not?' shite walk away from it cos some people seem to think they know everything...
little tiny acute corners you can get with a 'leaf and square' do a search for em...handy when you need em...

Aye, there are loads of different sized small tools for that kinda work.
Scrapers in different sizes, and there are other small trowels for these jobs.

I have a load of different sized ones, and i call them all 'doofer's'.

''Scott, pass me the wee doofer''
''What one? This one?''
''Naw, the wee doofer''
''This one?''
''Naw, the other doofer! The wee doofer! I'll get it myself.....''

;D

One of them is silver, and he is called 'silverado'.

i'll add, look after that midget trowel....it'll see u right, finger trowels, look after em but coat em in wd40 cos u'll use em once a year..
