it takes a lot of guts to go and train to do something new and I for one admire you for it and wish you all the best.
 
Just skimmed(see what in did there) thru this thread.
My advise is get self employed and then offer yourself to other plasterers. Offer the first few days for free on the basis that if your any hekp/good to the plasterer you can go on a price for each day. Start low in ya wage as experience from a time served plasterer is priceless. There doing you the favour end of the day.

I done a course like this to grasp the basics a good few years back then went with an experienced plasterer on my days off from work. I was doing jobs in my own house at the time and then onto friends houses for experience then started doing the odd job in peoples houses when i had confidence in my own work.

I havent plastered for a few months now due to promotions i got at work and im itching to get back into it.
