Wavy Finish

So had a plasterer do some work on my ceiling, the finish is smooth but the ceiling is wavy, and when its painted its going to be visible even more.

Should i get another plasterer in, and what should i expect from him to be able to get it flat?

Would it need sanding down or could pva and a new 2 coats get it to a flat finish.

post pics. Lots of ceilings are wavy, but the wall/ceiling lines can create the illusion that the ceiling is ‘flat’.

I'd get a professional in to 1 coat it mate

Yeah pva that and one coat it. It'll come up much better
