using one coat on thermolites

Hi has anyone used one coat on thermolites and will two coats of pva be alright to hold it back or just water

If ya gonna use rend aid would an SBR slurry not be cheaper for the same effect??

Just got to add water to rend-aid sbr isn't that cheap is it

rend aid is £25 and a tub of SBR and a bag of S&C will still be cheaper and go further IMO
