trowelling

Hi Guys, when you put your first and 2nd coat , how do you trowel, I mean do you put it on across or go "up, down,up" Whats the right way. how do you trowel after?. replies very much appreciated

I work from the bottom left then upwards the pull the top and sides in

I sometime cross trowel at the end.

I always work from left to right, start at the top bringing it down from the top then bring the skim up and down, same with the troweling up but making sure the angles are clean then for the final i dry trowel with a cross trowel, sometimes give it a flash over when its brown if there are pimples.
