Dont know mate but I ordered plastering sand from b&q the other week and I could have sworn it was red building sand.

its sound mate, i am using it on the job i am on, beware though there are some small pebbles in it which can caise a problem if you are trying to do very tight coats, although this may differ from where you are in the country as i dont know if they get it all from the same pit

we were using some the other day, dunno where its from, but it was the most golden/yellow looking sand i'd ever used. lovely stuff

the stuff they have round my way (milton keynes) is leighton sharp. think jewsons do aswell. always good

we mix ours wash river and sharp 50/50 dnt know y but thats what the bloke i wrk with does so i just folw suit
