Hi Lads, have any of you ever seen cracked tiles straight down the middle while on the wall and does any body know what could cause this? Working in a small bathroom and it is damp where the plaster can easily come off of the brickwork. I can tell that it used to be an outhouse and now it is an indoor bathroom with bad ventilation. I was just curious as to weather putting a vent like you would have on a tumble dryer would prevent damp re-occuring.
Any advice or thoughts would be most helpfull
thanks

therell be more to it than just a bit of condensation ill bet...
like single skin uninsulated walls....

As Chris says:RpS_thumbup:

Also - maybe this old outhouse has had a new concrete floor installed to bring it up to the height of the interior. The extra weight is causing a bit of movement, hence the cracked tiles.

some old buildings dont even have concrete foundations could be settlment crack check the brick work

Yep, agree with this, The crack in my bedroom has got a hundred times worse in the past year, due to subsidence in the new extension, can't wait to get out, obviously landlord doesn't give a ****...
