Have been asked to quote a job from plan and a large section mentions 'through colour render system'

Is this the same as K rend ? If so , how do you apply K rend or is it a job for the specialists

Expecting chapter and verse from bigsegs on this one please

Cheers

yes its a k-rend type render , theres a few types around some you srcape back some you rub up like sand & cement , you have to know what you are doing with these renders for sure , find out what product you are using and the help will be there ;)

not really my area mate im afraid, needs jetman and nicksey and church...
this sounds like exactly the sort of thing id be lookin to either hire a machine or fire it off to someone that owns one/can do it in their sleep purely cos you mention 'large sections'...
if youre based anywhere near those lads (or anyone else who does it all day) its a good opportunity to sub a bit of work their way and add another string to your bow...
depends on the customer this one, i was on about it the other week, site work is different cos theyve got the prices nailed down but for a one off you MIGHT be able to go in at a real good price, sub out the section that needs the synthetic render, make money and get blown away by the speed it goes on  :)
if i were u i'd post up the details or even pm one or two of the lads you should all come out of it smellin of roses..asuming you get the job that is  ;)

If you can use s&c you will be ok,go by the spec, there are a few differences, the main ones being variation in colour mainly caused by floating and sponging when too dry, veriations in depth ie rough scratch leading to different set times on the wall, real tight and it ghosts, find out the gear and let us know may be able to help more, theres different ways to each, acrilic, polyimerand resin are all slightly different, but all are ok once you know the sp,(exept for the putz thats s**t imo.
on a side note weres the soddin spellchecker?
