the lowdown on stabilisers

hi lads,gonna start using sandtex stabiliser 2moro in a lime rendered house. whats the crack with application. brush or roller? how much do i water it down? can i go 50/50? do you guys guys just apply 1 coat of stabiliser & how long do you wait till you can apply a coat of pva? cheers

hey,spunky,thought you guys recommended it for the first coat on lime walls to kill the suction? everytime i've reskimmed on top of lime walls with multiple coats of pva,suctions been nightmare.

Don't thin it down mate it's already like water. Use brush or roller but I prefer a big brush, if you use a roller you will see why :RpS_wink: One coat should be enough but won't hurt to put 2 on if it needs it. Pva it once it's dry, it doesn't take long to dry.

Yes mate 6-10m2 a litre depending on surface etc
