For NOTHING.
If you want to cater for DIYers then carry on, but as a professional plasterer I can't keep working with the ever changing garbage you are churning out.
Todays plaster was the worst plaster I have EVER worked with.
It could have very nearly cost me the job.
I can't afford that.
I have a family to feed.
So please bear in mind the thousands of real tradesmen out there next time you decide to alter your multi or board finish, and stop just looking after the DIYers.
Thank you.

Unfortunately you lose your argument when you say they are catering for diyers because that's clearly not the case, make a more constructive point and they may and I do only say may take it more seriously.

Hmm not sure there.
Putting instructions on the bag says otherwise. Its clearly the case.
I'm on here to 80% rant and 20% be taken seriously.
BG would have left their product as it was 6 or 7 years ago if they were serving the tradesman.

I think you will find instructions are on most things

What exactly was wrong with it?.

It's been inconsistent shite for years now.
we churn through 1000's of bags every year with no 2 pallets ever being the same.
If there was a proper alternative (not that wanky mp) then I'd never buy another bag from Bg They're cnuts.

Ok so mp is wanky and bg are cnuts lol, straight away both companies would look at that and come to the conclusion that it's you rather than the material.

Is it any wonder @BritishGypsum never seem or want to listen

Maybe the instructions are there for plasterers that have never used it? They have to be on there.

If I gave you a bag of mp finish you would like to know the process and timings right? Does that make you a diyer? No it makes you a professional

il put up with their s**t bags over knauf any day, when it flashes like we had on Wednesday il use the s*p*r*lex, agreed tho does my head in being inconsistent

So did you just pick up a couple of bags of airless and read the instructions?

Thought you were all moaning until i tried to trowel up just now. New batch of bags. Overskim and boardwork. Stuff we used last week was normal
This is happening on both Overskim and board. Feels really gloopy

It's shite. I wouldn't even mind if they came out and said they are having troubles with it and are working to get consistency back but they just blank us and continue taking our money.

c**ts.

A Rep from bg is reading our posts,,,,,
Though I know they don't comment.
I was contacted yesterday, awaiting a call from them.

Erm, you need to open the windows, turn the heating up, then rub your bread on butter all over it, that should cure the tearing.

Had this alot back in January, flipped it out of the bucket looked a funny colour. Seemed really gloopy at first then just set on the board minutes later.

What was on the wall just went cheesy and teared whenever i tried troweling it up, had to devil and redo next day.

Had this before but BG blame anything, PVA, open windows but the plaster itself.

Also get bags with little bits of grit in it at the moment, luckily has only happened on first coats.

Had that myself yesterday. Ballache to get a decent finish. Not a happy chappy yesterday and lumps in my first bag also

Definitely getting rid of the uni into it. Bg will deny it of course but won't give us a reason why the finish is of a substandard quality. We deserve better and so do our paying customers

I was told by someone who went on a tour of the mine, that a member of BG staff said they introduced unsold uni finish into multi in small amounts to get rid of it last time it didn't sell.

I wasn't there personally so I can neither confirm nor deny it. However, what else would they do with it? o_O

What sort of a c**t told you that

If it's tearing you're hitting it at the wrong time, just leave it alone for ten minutes or so.
