STUD WALLS

IVE JUST BEEN TO PRICE A BATHROOM THAT NEEDS PLASTERING AFTER TILES HAVE BEEN REMOVED.THREE OF THE WALLS ARE STUD WALLS COVERED IN REALLY POOR CHIP BOARD.THE OWNER DOESNT WANT THESE BOARDS REMOVED COS OF THE MESS.I SAID I WOULD OVER BOARD WITH 9.5MM BOARDS AS THE WALLS ARE FAIRLY LEVEL,AM I RIGHT TO DO THIS?JUST LOOKING FOR A BIT OF REASSURANCE REALLY.

alot of people use normal boards but to be certain, use MR boards, and if its being completely tiled, don't skim it.

if its fully tiled i like to use knauf aqua board or wedi boards miles better

I don't think it's being tiled and they don't have much money so I think aqua panels may be too expensive

My quote was within budget I was the middle price from all the quotes they got
