straight edge

decided to invest in a decent straight edge.

the one i use at the mo is my old boss's and he rightly wants it back! it's a perfect 2.4m with a 30mm box section. can't find anything like it apart from the refina's...

can't decide between 2m or 2.5m... what do you use??

...or does anyone know / recommend another decent alternative?

Screw fix have got good ones mate. I got a 6ft for £20 years ago and recently got another 4ft for £12.

B&Q used to do 6 and 8 ft ally feather edges, reasonably priced. Don't know if they still do em tho. I haven't bought one for a few years.

no a box section is a heavy gauge rectangle shaped tool used for screeding and dabbing

I dont use a straight edge I have 3 sheep that I get to push the boards at the same time, sycronised sheeping, it never works, they f*ck it up all the time but the job has loads of character.
