we use trowel protectors made from ply, a retired plasterer from co. durham makes them to order for us.

Trowels ain't expensive if they get damaged I relegate them and get a new one, which tbh is only the flex and plazi which do get damaged.

I store mine in a sto bucket I can get everything I need for a days plastering in it.i have a plastering bucket a monocouche bucket and a sand cement bucket and I need a bigger shed!

I don't use any trowel protectors and don't know anyone that does. I just have them in the van and then have the two or thee I might use on the job in a bucket. I mean if you're going to drop them and damage them surely that would be when you were using them so the protector would be off anyway? Overkill?
