I used to use the small tote bags but got fed up as every time I wanted something I had to empty the whole thing out as it was so full.I now have I big jcb bag that I store all my hand tools in. It's 2ft long and 1ft wide and tall , I don't store my trowels in there though I hang them in the van then when I arrive on site I put them in a bucket and take them in.

we store all tools and plant in our lockups.
i load up the tools and plant needed for the next day in the evening.

I did have a Royal Mail bag at one point waterproof big and had reflectors so you didn't get mowed down by cars on a early morning. But liked my stanly tool chest on wheels. Now I just have them in my buckets. Bad I know but too tight to fork out £30 on another chest.

Keep all my skimming tools in my tall mixing bucket. My rendering in another bucket. Other tools in various tool boxes. But they all go in my iveco daily which basically is a tool box. No tools kept in van overnight[emoji15]

Its one big skip of junk..... the amount of shite we carry on our vans is a joke.... amazing what few tools we actually need yet our vans are rammed to the rafterd

Just in old bucket. Nothings ever got damaged in over thirty years. Don't understand all these foam filled cases and stuff. Got a tool bucket like a bucket tote for all hammers screwies board lifters tapes hawk holder etc

I've only ever used a bucket to carry my tools in, ive still got the same one I started with as an apprentice 16 years ago. It's had 17 new plastic bucket bits and 14 new handles though

I keep my skimming stuff in a cheap canvas bag, rendering/floating stuff in a box with wheels, boarding stuff in a tool pouch & my ductape, rope & spade in a hidden compartment next to the back door with the locks cut off.
