Hi Guys,
A builder i do work for is stone cladding a old brick house & wants me to scratch coat it for him, he said he wanted to eml it first but he's not got the time, do you think i could sbr then scratch it adding fibre mesh, any advice welcome.

yes mate, he just needs it levelling a bit, i've told this should be ok but he's just a bit weary without any literature on it,
any idea were i could find some on the net ?

it is real stone 30mm thick, he's had some garden walls done already & it looks a pretty good, it's on a big old pub been converted into a house, he's been quoted £80
per mtr for wallcrete & £50 for stone. there's 250 metres, £7500 cheaper.

Warrior, I have a job (think I said already) anyway built the block work way before the summer and originally the house ( timber frame with block skin) was meant to be e-grade on top half and fern hill stone on bottom, so downstairs I had left block work back 25 mm round openings so as to return stone into doors/windows. But the biggest problem is where the render meets the stone along the middle, as the render is about 20mm thick and the stone below nearer 35mm when stuck on. So that's an issue.

What I was wondering (if I hopefully manage to talk them round to wallcrete) can I just build out reveals with a render board ?
