Well when I was a kid it was! June 16th
Do they still have a “season?” - did they do away with it?
Was always storms that time of year and there still is so that means the planet is not that out of whack so there is some good news!

Stillwater's and some canals haven't had a legal closed season for many years. Changed back in the nineties.

Loads of bass in the estuary where I live now , caught on the flood and low water. one bout 7 1/2 the other 6ish caught on sidewinders and loads off beer and puff

I'm yet to catch a bass this year taking Thursday and Friday off so gonna doo 4 days solid to try correct this!

If u wanna catch the real big daddy bass you got to fish in the surf with strips of mackerel. But I like chill fishing in the estuary spinning for bass and dead low water still catch decent size plenty of double figures in the river just a hard fish to catch the old bass.

Lol just played a club Golf match down Teignmouth today got called off half way through. crazy rain and mist. Cracking views Up top tho. Really good fishing round that coast. My pal sells bait and goes down there and buys all his sand eels
