You always forget wot a f.ucking nightmare staircases are. I'm fed up.

Agree, loading your van up with planks , selection of ladders, then loading it all back up again when ya fuked, so much hassle , but always agree to do them, when you look after work, and your knackered, and have no interest in being there, just end up saying yeah, I'll do it so you can get home...
 
I've never used that, but was thinking doing the same, do you sponge, and trowel up?
Yeah . Much easier. Get it to shape and we used a combination of a sponge . A sponge in a plastic bag and a plastic trowel.
One staircase had 5 in it.
Good thing with one coat is you have no bonding grinning through the finish or pimples

Love the one coat, you can pretty much shape it to whatever you want.

I always say never again. I think I mean it after this time. Had to board the ceiling off that too
