i know this topics been done to death
and i have read thru most of the topics

but im still in 2 minds as of to invest in some are they worth it ?
do they save time ?
and what surfaces they work on like i guess wen skimming board they good
but what about on old walls and artex ?

Handy tool, some hate them some love them, the are good on big flat areas, not good on areas with hollows where its just getting a 3mm skim, very good for flat walls, do,the save time or speed up your work, I do not really think so, but the save you repeated strokes, I use for flattening first and second coat and put it away. Others differ

It's only a £33 investment. Try for yourself and see... I like it on certain areas as other have said. Ie big areas on boards

i think the 1.2m on pole is too big for domestic lids

i use mine for the first coat and second coat if the areas big enough and it does save me some time but like johniosaif says it just saves you repetitive strokes really, but i do like mine, worth the money IMO

if you skim with a first coat that is thick and needs flatting, just find yourself a peice of cavity closure.
if you skim with a thin first coat, no need for this tool.

no hes not asif they do have changeable blades the end caps just clip out and the blade just slides out
