speedskim ?

Are these speedskim's any good then ? untill the other week i'd never heard of them. Should in lob away my finishing trowels and are they only for new plaster board or can you use them on over skimming old bumpy walls and as sutch, as i'd hate to do a job and have it look like a polished turd. :RpS_unsure:
