just pull the spots down unattache them put the wires carefully back in hole so you can get at them again, skim put the back up, job done, it is very easy, no need for an electrician
Also when the gear starts to go off properly go round the holes pushing the blobs up to reveal the original hole. If you let it dry fully it'll crack when you break the hard blobs off.
I always just pull them down ever so slightly but don't unclip them if you do sometimes the extra thickness with your over set makes it hard to clip them back in.
