Skimming and joint taping tapered edge boards

Hi
Got a ceiling i need finishing it is 70sqm and they are tapered edge boards .
So do i get it taped and jointed and then skimmed with decoplus knauff two coats of 2mm
Or is there a way of avoiding the tape and joint ,just skimming with decoplus and scrimming i dont think would work as 2mm is to thin a covering as the boards are slightly uneven due to joist issues and i dont think you can go thicker in one coat

Why not skim it in multi.

Just scrim the joints and skim in board finish.

Long story but got to use decoplus by knauff

Then it'll need jointing first.

I use tape/edge boards then skim all the time.fill out the joints and beads first then skim.takes 10 minutes to sprep.
