Hi folks

Novice plasterer here who has mastered straight runs, but will be attempting to skim over a corner with a skim bead for the first time in the bathroom soon. I have noticed there is already one underneath. So my question is. If there is one underneath already. (Wonky corner by the way), is it ok to fix another over the top? Im assuming so, but wanted to double check. Also there are so many different skim beads, for example some beads having larger holes in the mesh, why is this? Cheers for helping

Its fine to bead over beads, there are many types of skim beads, most just use one type ,some have different angles

yes its fine to fit another bead on top ans skim,, as long as you use a thin coat angle bead dont worry what it looks like, they all do the same job

Unless the bead is a wooden bead then remove it or there is a chance it will crack............and here we go again lol
