Sealing internal brick lime mortar walls

Hi all,
I'm renovating an old victorian house. All the internal plastering is debonded, so I'm removing it. Also the downstairs ceilings. I plan to get professionals in to blue grit and plaster the walls and ceilings, but I'll be living with bare walls for months possibly..what can I do to seal the walls in the meantime, which will not affect the future plastering quality and adhesion?

Why do you want to seal it? and why blue grit on bare victorian brickwork? Leave it be and let the pro's do their thing.

Thanks for all the replies lads.

Spot on Tapit, the dust is getting into everything.
Re the Blue Grit - I just want the best job done, so I never have to do it again - If the grit is unnecessary then so be it.

So if I seal it with PVA to stop the dust, in 3 months time, when the pro comes to do his stuff, he's not going to be hindered by by work yeh?

What about raking a little bit of the mortar out to give a deeper key? Will that give better adhesion, or is it overengineering the job?

Also what's the best for undercoat. Mortar/cement mix or plaster undercoat?

Cheers
