Av not had to hire scaffold for ages but I was told you need a ticket now just to hire a zip scaffold the one with weels at the bottom do you need to go on a coarse to get a ticket

See the job I was on it was on site every time I needed even a pole moved I had to get the joiner to do it cos he had a ticket it was only a tower scaffold the one you can move about with wheels must have been anoying for the joiner have ing to put his tools down just to move a pole

It's all.about blame.mate.
Basically if u had fallen of that scaffold the joiner is personally responsible. It's shifting blame.from the companies to the name.on the ticket. Joke

PASMA is a one day course... system ie. cuplock, lahyer, etc is a two week course...( if you hold a CISRS card ) tube and fitting is quite involved, takes a min 2 years for basic card.. as for hiring, I would imagine you can hire anything.. however to erect on site, you need the relevant card... if its private, I would say defo go with the PASMA ( as it has instructions supplied, and a monkey could put it up ) hire charges, tube and fitting would be the cheapest by far....

really ?? ok, Ive always had my tickets, but only use tube anyway mate, you would be able to hire tube no probs, but then wouldnt know how to erect it ? try hiring the tube and maybe you got a scaffolder mate who would put it up for you ?? if not, let me know the size of the scaffold, and I will tell you roughly how much it would cost you to get put up from a firm... if your using it a lot, maybe price buying some ali towers ? expensice tho matey...
