Not on render but i have in the mortar for paving over a terrace which was the roof of bedrooms and it stopped the leaks they were getting. They have only been down about a year though. Decided on the sbr in the mix cos they had covered the screed in a bitumen based liquid dpm trying to stop leeks :RpS_unsure: it was a new build with sub-terainian ground floor and they had tried to tank themselves instead of getting specialists so, then it was fire fighting so to speak to stop leaks :RpS_crying:

I've not done it myself but was having a chat with another plasterer the other day about a job and he mentioned going over lbc brick like so.- brush on SBR then give a tight scratch coat with SBR in the mix and let that dry out and render as normal.

Thought so, I have used it In a different world and worked well but small areas the gear goes of quick, does seem to work in them situations Raggles.

That's exactly what I was considering doing, small job a few old retaining dwarf walls in LBCs

I have. 3 ltrs in the scratch coat and 2 ltrs in the top coat. Base coat had fibres in it and used a mesh. Mixes very creamy but base coat sucked a bit. Expected it to be waterproof.
