Spoke to another plasterer the other day who recommended priming walls with and then chucking some sbr in the mix for reskims.
Anyone ever done this approach instead of pva-ing up the walls?
We use a mix of pva, water and sbr for priming. Never heard of putting it in the finish though, I would geuss that it would make it gluey and orrible to use.....never tried it though.
Put pva in skim once, seemd to make it go off kwik then troweling it up stiff failed to bond, it was only a nib so I got it to hold but won't do it again.
