Sand and cement or dot and dab? HELP

Dab insulation boards on afta a scratch coat , you could probably get away with just loosing 80mm on each wall oo it would be a bit cosier then and board ceiling with them

I have some other ideas but first, how old is the house? how big is the bathroom, like others have said insulation would be nice.

is the bathroom fully tiled,,, if it is i would go for 2 coat sand - cement ,, no need to skim,, but if you want it set then that is fine
