56 mate, right shoulder went around 43 and put me out for about 8 months pain killers and injections only help a bit. I couldn't raise my arm above level absolutely no chance of raising it above my shoulder. I paid for physio over and above what I was getting on the NHS.
That got me back to work but my sweep on ceilings was never the same, anything above 20 m2 I needed to use half time in the first coat. Then my left shoulder went, that was not as severe, pain killers helped, but you can't keep using them. So after more than a decade of muddling through it was time to knock it on the head, that was December 2
How old when you got out?

at least you’ve had a good run. I actually love plastering + working for myself. I’m only 31 and can’t imagine doing anything else. I still need to see gp about it all yet, so hoping I can turn things around as nothing set in stone of how bad it is. What do you do for work now, and what was it like giving it up?
