Hi All,
Could you please give me some advice.
Please see attached photo of a shed that i am plastering - A single leaf six inch block with no dpc installed anywhere.
How much height space should i leave at the outside before i install my bellcast bead? Im using a two coat render
Also, is there anything that i can do to stop the damp rising up inside the blockwork?

Any advice at all would be appreciated.
Thanks

Put a dpc in
Or
consider using battens etc to create a render jacket that goes over the shed but does not touch the wall

A single course wall, with no DPC, it will be a race against rising damp and penetrating damp.
My money is on the penetrating damp.
