Rendering - scratch coat 20mm thick in places.

Hi all,

I need to render a retaining wall in a garden, the issue i have is that from a rounded face of a block to the mortar line in places is 20mm deep. How do i go about rendering this?

Slowly, and in many, many coats.

couple coats sand cement should do it

Make sure each coat is weaker than the coat that it covers.
