Hi there I'm new to the forum and my names Dan, been plastering for nearly 9 years and just started up on my own and doing well, I do a lot of skimming and rendering on new builds, ive been asked to quote for hacking off and re rendering a rear of house, I know the walls are solid no cavity and not sure wether it is brick or stone, my question to you is can I render it in sand cement or will it cause problems down the line with damp inside? Or should I do it in lime?? Cheers, (sorry about the up side down photos lol)

Wait a few weeks customer can try for a grant from greendeal voucher to have external wall insulation. It wont cover the whole cost but a contribution atleast

Decc have released date this morning. Greendeal vouchers available from wednesday 12th dec.

Solid wall will be upto 4k tho. Or 60 odd percent of the cost of install.
So worth looking into
