Render issue

Hi all

Firstly apologies for not putting this in the render forum, for some reason I have no make a post button in just that forum.

I was wondering if there are any experts here who know what might have caused these blotches all over my render (it's been like this since day one so not a dirt issue)

In some light conditions they don't really show up. In other light they look really bad.

Had a renderer out and they've no idea what caused it and said they'd never seen anything like it

Material not mixed completely. Material that has not been stored correctly.

Almost looks like salts coming through render ?

Clumps in gear not mixed properly, probably out of date.

To be honest when you zoom in the surface looks like a lunar landscape.

Could well be. My eye keeps going to the join of the stop beads.
