hi guys got a problem im not to sure bout,im rendering a fellas extension which he previously rendered himself booo,when im putting the mix on it is going of really quickly so i cnt work around,my mix is 4-(plastering sand)to 1-cement with 25ml of waterproofer my head is fried lol any help would be most appreciated thanks
 
what key is there on his render first, if its a scratch coat i would damp it down with water, essexandy would have to pva it as he a chancer and couldnt handle the suction
 
no you didnt you said what you would do, i asked 3 questions to get the full story before commiting myself to giving the right answer, rather than wasting my time writting loads and loads and loads and loads and loads of words that dont mean shite.. :)
 
you aint drunk a bottle of wine and take ages to reply, like kabab said, we had 60m2 on in an hour and had to watch porn all day waiting for it to go off
 
yeah its his scratch coat the key is not bad his mix was 3-1 without waterproofer,ive tried with damping the wall first and tried three different mixs ie wet then reducing the amount of water down to achieve a different substance i know the weather has been hot as hell when doing it will this effect it cheers
 
lol no mate as quick as starting at the top and by the time im at the bottom its gone hard its weird like could it the type of sand or ?

so because his scratch coats got no waterproofer in its sucking the hell out of mine even though i've put waterproofer in my mix if that makes sense lol
 
ok mate, i will tell you what to do,

apply another scratch coat with a bit of waterproffer in the mix, , lay on and scratch, then go over the top about an hour later. you could get us in to spray it and show you how real spreads do it ;D ;D ;D ;D
 
whats the crack now then mate is it all pear shaped?.........if youve already took the top coat off put another scratch coat on with w/proofer same as youre mix and top it with a 5-1-1 ........like flynny said use the same cement for both coats
 
Just looking at your question mark and yes that was quick,went off and boarded two ceilings, ready for skimming this morning.
