Raised base depth.

Customer wants a raised base. Normally I have it the thickness of a roofing lath. But they want it out heavier. Prob take 2 scratch coats and a final coat. What is the maximum you think I could get away. Was thinking of doing an 1.5inch depth.

I did a row of 4 town houses years ago and the drawings showed a step up between each house of about an inch. I expected the blockwork to be set out for this. Got there all houses were flush, the "architect " said it was down to plasterer to achieve the detail. Told him I wanted an extra £7.50 a metre to scratch out each panel. Crack on he said in very condescending manner. Made a killing that job, in answer to question I brought final panel out 6 coats, it still looks fine
