I re-skimmed a toilet the this week. First day was stripping loose paint and skimming the ceiling, the next was two opposite walls in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. The problem I had was the one of the walls in the afternoon was the exterior wall and it took ages to go off compared to the other wall I did at the same time. So the interior wall was ready for its second coat, but the exterior wall was way behind even though I put it on first (obviously because it was a lot colder).

I was wondering what people would do in this situation?

Thanks in advance.

I put chilli powder in the gear for cold walls........................bugger, should have put that in the tip section................:rolleyes)

how did you get your plaster to stick to the toilet? just a quick PVA?

As a plasterer it's part of your job to work things like that out...... I guess it will come with experience.

Put the lot on on one go. You should be able to read a job before you start. Put that wall on first, lay it in last.
