i have a question but i don't really know how to put it into words and as a consequence theres a strong possibility that none of you will know what i mean :p......

basically I've seen a number of times where plasterers have removed an inset fire place ,,, plaster boarded it and skimmed it..... so basically your left with a small plasterboarded inset fireplace .... people use them as a feature in there lounge and sometimes put some pebbles or something weird inside them..... what I'm wanting to know is how you skim it..... i can imagine doing the timber frame and boarded it which seems simple enough... but how do you get into it and skim it ???? surely not all done with a midget trowel which incidentally i hate with a passion!!! any help ????? thanks in advance

answered your own question.if a larger trowel wont fit you have to use a midget trowel.or how you going to plaster it.
