Hi im new on here was just after some advise on pva plasterboards. I got told if they have been up for more then 3 months then to give them a pva first.
 
Yes, if there up for a long time,a coat of pva will stop them from soaking in the plaster too quickly, you can always do a test piece to see what's. The suction like before hand by applying a small bit of finish
 
Thanks I having always done it but was reading some were not to do it just wanted to see what other people thought.
 
No need to use PVA just a damp brush to remove the dust, well that's what BG tell you to do. All about the dust getting in the open pores on the board.
