Pva or not?

I m patch plastering a wall,applied 2 coat of thistle hard wall yesterday late afternoon and going to skim today. Should I pva befor skimming or not?

Done.no pva, just brushed some water before skimming. 2 coat of multi finish applied. Very smooth finish.
