Hi Fellas.

Installed some new boards after taking down old lath and plaster ceiling, but boards have now been up for just over a month so was wondering if they may need a dose of PVA or not before skimming due to other work going on around them, dust etc?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Won't do no harm, skimmed a studded wall last week went like f**k been up two years lol he didn't bother mentioning that.

They should be ok after four weeks.Just make sure they are clean and dust free.

I did one yesterday , ceiling and walls , i just washed it down with water , went off nicely , home by 3.
PVA do no harm but will go off slower , be sure to wash the walls either way to get rid of dust etc.

If the boards are discoloured I would p.v.a them mate, they will suck like hell otherwise! if they haven't lost any colour then just brush them off and skim as normal!
