hi guys,

any advice on pulling down an old textured artex (might contain asbestos) ceiling.
I can easily locate joists from the loft. how to you get rid of the screws from joists and how do you locate those screws? How do you do that step by step?

and one more question
some time ago I came across a thread about multifinish recommendations and basically what plaster brands plasterers use, personal preference etc. If you can find it could you please post a link.

regards,
Simon

Over-boarding is the way, but as you can already get into the loft it'll be a good idea to strengthen the joists, or at least check them over to satisfy yourself that they will take the weight of the extra boards :RpS_thumbup:

Good advice bubbles old terrace house joist dont have enough width for overboarding in the event of having to butt together boards on the same joist. I fix 2" x !" timber and least I can see what I am boarding onto

take it down not that much extra time put noggings in to strenthen up new boards and skim
