Its been said on here before it depends on what part of the country you live , if there's a demand for decent plasterers you'll make a good living if you live in an area where its flooded with skimmers, chances, six month wonders etc it wiil get tougher , Im from Merseyside and i went to price a job last week for a young lad who has just bought a house an old lady had lived there and hadn't touched it in years ,it had turned ceiling through out ,he ripped the picture rails off the skirts too and rewired it , it was a mess ,plaster hanging off the wall, so the whole house needed plastering, gave him a price by email, and this is the truth ,its the first time I have ever chased up a quote and he said ive got someone a bit cheaper , so I said how far off was I , he said he was £1400 cheaper, I said theres something wrong if he can do it for that,he said well the joiner said its a good price.People on here will say its how you market yourself but I know good spreads , over thirty years experience who are not busy
