premixed is more expensive then knocking it up yourself. the delivery charges from the batching plant to site would add to the costs.
we can purchase sand locally at very reasonable prices.

Thanks Malc, of course It's going to be more expensive I was just wondering how the price compares, as I would have to borrow a mixer then get it 20 odd miles away from me..
Mix your own mate much -cheaper, as long as you gauge as you go it will be great !!, i'am mixing my own =at the moment, be sure to get OPC instead of cement that has additive in already ,then yo can add what you need them good luck mate

sounds like you are not geared up for render. thats why you need a truck not a van.
i would phone up a sand company near to the site ,and have the sand delivered.
opc is ordinary portland cement.

all you can do is phone and get a quote for both. as the distance from the pit to the site will determine the costs .
i would mix it myself so that i have the control as to how much water, lime,feb etc, i needed to complete the work in the fastest time.
