Plastering straight onto brick-not much depth

We have had a small window bricked up and the brickie has laid the bricks only a few mm depth lower than the surrounding plaster. What plaster should I use and do I just prep with pva?

Looks like you have a internal & ext angle .
Re do the whole lot between them 2 angles ....

No, this window is in the hall which is next to garage and is just a single brick wall

The bricks aren't perfectly straight as it was meant to be covered up so there is some variation in the depth. I'd say between 3mm and 10mm. Do you think a thin layer of hardwall plaster and then skim with multifinish?

dab a board on and skim out over the two side bits

Fill it with bonding. Straight edge it through and reskim the whole wall.

Pva it, bonding coat then skim

Dab a 27mm thermal plasterboard, leave til next day then skim.
